At International Färg's factory in Gunnilse, just north of Gothenburg, we manufacture high-quality world-leading protective paints for bridges, wind turbines, sports arenas, and more under the brand International Paint. International Färg has been part of the AkzoNobel group since 1998. The facility also houses sales and marketing offices for our three business areas: Marine & Protective, Yacht, and Powder Coatings in the Nordic region. We are also looking for a Production Operator for a 12-month temporary position in filling.

What will you be working with?

As a production operator with us, you will work together in a team to ensure our paint production and that filling in packaging occurs according to plans and market needs. Even though you work in a team, some tasks may be performed individually. For your work, you will wear personal protective equipment according to applicable regulations for handling chemicals. You will be trained in chemical handling with a focus on thermosetting plastics.

The following tasks are included in the daily production work:

  • Recipe management where you must follow and understand instructions and formulations
  • Perform all checks according to the manufacturing order
  • Handle both dry and liquid raw materials in various packaging
  • Color adjustments
  • Internal cleaning of containers
  • Sampling
  • Driving forklifts with reach trucks and stackers

Clean and maintain order at the machines and areas you work in and follow the safety regulations applicable to your tasks and department.

Working hours: You will work in a 2-shift system according to the following schedule:

Day shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM–2:42 PM and on Fridays you work 6:00 AM–12:42 PM

Evening shift: Monday-Thursday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and on Fridays you work 12:00 PM–5:30 PM

Who are you?

To thrive in this role, you are driven by problem-solving and have an interest in the industry. As a person, you are positive, open, and a good team player. The work will be done both independently and in teams, which requires good collaboration skills and initiative. You also have:

  • A completed high school education with passing grades
  • Enjoy working physically where you can use your body in the job
  • Can work in an environment that places high demands on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Speak, read, and understand the Swedish language very well. English is an asset as the official corporate language for AkzoNobel
  • Forklift license/previous experience in the industry is an advantage but not a requirement
